英作文コンテストに挑戦しました！

　１０月７日（火）に第６０回英作文コンテストが実施され、県内から約２００名の生徒が参加しました。本校からは、１年生２名、２年生３名の計５名が出場し、難易度の高い指定英作文５問および自由英作文１題に取り組みました。その結果、１年生の布施さんが１年生の部で奨励賞を受賞しました。１２月１２日（金）には授賞式が行われ、賞状とメダルが授与されました。
　自由英作文のタイトルは、「生徒が学校で部活動をすることの意義について、自分の考えを書きなさい」です。
以下が布施さんの書いた英作文です。

　I think that the main reasons students do club activities are making friends and learning how to make an effort to achieve their goals.I have two reasons to think so.
　The first reason is about making friends. When I entered high school, I didn’t know anyone and I was worried about it.
I thought that I couldn’t make any friends at that time.But when I took part in the handball team, by practicing with the same girls every day, I was able to make friends and they became my best friends.
　The second reason is about making an effort to achieve their goals. We can learn the importance of setting a goal and achieving it. For example, I set a goal to be a good handball player and to score at least two goals in every game.
It was hard to achieve my goals, yet I was able to achieve them by making an effort.
　I think that making friends and learning how to make an effort are the points of students doing club activities.

内容が十分にまとめられ、高校生にとって部活動がどれほど大切か、しっかり伝わるものになっています。
